One of the Fridays I suggested to colleagues to a place that Dude suggested me to try at Shaftbury Square.. He said the best in Shaftbury.. an indonesian cuisine..

So we went.. and try..

We had to wait to be seated since they are fully seated.. but the waiting was not that long.. 

After deciding on what to order.. it took us quite some time to get the waiters' attention.. maybe its the lunch crowd..

These are our orders..

this merah delima drink is actually a Thai dessert.. also known as red ruby.. not suitable as a drink because of too creamy from the coconut milk..

I Say

Price : most of the rice set is less than RM20
Food : the chicken and chilli dip is nice and also the prawn on skewer.. but their drinks needs improvement
Service : need a lot of improvement especially during peak hours.. its kinda on the slow side..
Atmosphere : I love the deco.. especially the feature wall
Cleanliness : clean
Parking : Parking lot

Adam went to the Surau for Isya' prayer with Dude.. But I was shocked when they were back earlier than usual.. 

And then I saw him.. like this.. with tears in his eyes..

"Adam fall down ambik wudhu'"..

sian anak mama.. so after this you can only berwudhu' at home then solat Surau ok? but he's a tough cookie..  Dude said he insisted to continue to solat jemaah after falling..

It was on one of the trip back from Merlimau where Dude suggested that we stopped for dinner somewhere.. Feeling a bit carnivores so I suggested Wadihana..

 

Entering the restaurant we were greeted with salam by most of the waiters.. a new experience for me

my steak portion was big and it was more than enough for me.. but by the end of my eating experience my steak was already cold and  there were bits of harden fat.. other than that I have no problem with..

Price : on the high site

Food : for me it was so-so.. but it is s nice steakhouse for that site of the city

Service : the best so far for me because we were greeted with salam when we enter and walked out of the shop

Atmosphere : a nice and relaxing restaurant for family

Cleanliness : clean

Parking : in front of the restaurant

Bits & Pieces #1

A colleague was thinking of celebrating her daughter's birthday.. it was a small family affair and quite a last minute idea.. but she was thinking of doing something just to get a feeling of the party.. so she decided on preparing goodie bags.. and asked me to help her with the thank you tag..

So these are what I manage to do in a couple of hours..

Makan - Makan || Mr. Kabab & Biryani, Putrajaya

Got something to settle outside of the office.. by the time done it was lunch hour.. the nerest is Mr. Kabab & Biryani.. heard that the food is nice..

They have couple lots that were separated to cater all kind of groups.. even for groups with kids where there is a play area for them.. we chose the normal hall..

Browsing through the menu, I got stuck.. spoiled with choices.. and I ended up choosing the wrong one.. I ordered biryani rice with khabsah lamb.. bad choice because khabsah is nice for chicken but not lamb.. tasted bland..

a colleague ordered wrap.. it was nice but not something to remember like their garlic cheese naan.. to die for! we even ordered for 2nd.. and have it without the dhal dipping sauce.. it was that good! and so soft..and generous with the cheese.. I can still feel the ooey gooey taste of the cheese.. the tandoori chicken was the same as at any normal mamak joint.. but it was a tiny bit dry.. not to my liking..

Price : a dish cost around RM10 - RM20
Food : we unanimously voted for their garlic cheese naan for the best dish.. other food is also nice
Service : good
Atmosphere : good.. they operated in couple of lots that cater for big groups.. small groups and even groups with kids

Parking : the parking is quite difficult especially during lunch hour

Humble Pie

I read bout mille crepe couple of months back.. but kept on backing out to order.. One of the weekends during the month of Syawal I ordered a whole cake with french vanilla flavour since some of the family decided to come for beraya with my mom.. why french vanilla you may ask? it was a safe order.. I guess everybody would like it..

It was a smooth process when ordering at Humble Beginnings.. And I ordered the cake to be delivered to me in cuts in cubes with toothpicks for ease of tasting for everybody.. when they called to confirm on my order I requested for the cake to be delivered during the morning trip..

And at around 10++ in the morning, the most awaited van came delivering my cake.. yummy yummm.. and there you go.. a whole cake finish in a blink of an eye (hahaha.. tipu!) actually.. it was quite hot selling because it was something different.. half of the cake was safely set aside by my nephews and niece for them.. ehehehe..

Would reorder to try other flavours since Dude and abah agreed to the taste.. but it is best eaten cool..

Buah Tampoi

The look is more like a duku.. the white flesh tasted like a mangosteen..

 

 

 

Buah Jentik

Similar to longan but with sweet and sour taste.. and the flesh colour is bright orange..
