Balik Kampung for Eidul Fitri

Kitorang balik from Melaka semalam.. which is the third day Raya.. Dapatla beraya sikit in Melaka.. tapi sebab most of the time hujan (alhamdulillah for that!) so limited houses la kitorang dapat beraya.. anyhow.. it was still enjoyable..

These are pictures of us during balik raya haritu.. on Saturday.. testing the new monopod.. Adam memang paling seronok.. sebab ade bluetooth shutter.. so kejap-kejap die tekan sambil jerit "selfie!"

Since rumah MIL adalah must-visit house among the family.. memang masak besar-besaran jugakla.. ada daging dendeng.. kari ayam.. nasi impit.. kuah lodeh.. and since I am among the 1st menantu yang balik, I was in the kitchen helping MIL most of the time.. tapi I'm more in the potong-memotong dan kacau-mengacau department.. thats the only thing I'm good at.. heh!

One of the nights that these two girls are out and playing outside.. Both were afraid of the firecracker.. Instead they get to play outside at night while watching the firecrackers being played by others..

Iftar with BFF || Muhibbah Seafood Restaurant, Penchala

Iftar this year I went alone.. Dude is at home to stay with Adam.. I think he understands that I sometimes need my alone time with friends.. The place to meet is Muhibbah Seafood Restaurant in Sungai Penchala..

A friend picked me up at home and straight we went to Sungai Penchala.. We were among the early ones at the restaurant.. since it is an open concept, it looks very much empty.. not until we're approaching iftar.. then only we saw that the restaurant was fully occupied.. not even an empty chair on the house..

Our menu for the night was already pre-ordered by a friend.. so it was a surprise for many of us.. The food was yummilicious.. everyone was quiet while eating.. I guess they were really enjoying their food..

We had chicken, squid, fish, prawn, cockles, egg and vege.. everything was delicious.. I would totally come back and would bring Dude along..

 After Iftar, which is quite after 9 o'clock we went to Rasta to have coffee and desserts.. It was really an enjoyable night because I get to catch up with my friends.. Went back close to 11 at night.. eheheh..

Price : I dont know the exact price.. but I guess it was normal price for any seafood restaurant 
Food : delicious.. I especially love the fish & cockles.. 
Service : fast considering the full seating 
Atmosphere : open concept.. it is even suitable for any occasion like wedding

Parking : at the parking space or along the road..

Authentic Homecooked Thai Food Available during Ramadhan

During this whole of Ramadhan Month, my cousin's wife will be selling her home cooked Thai food just like 2 years ago.. She changes her menu every day except for a couple of main dishes that would be available daily.. but you can also request for a certain Thai menu.. but it all depends on the ingredients.. but if she can't meet your request she would inform you.. Fret not.. all the foods here are guaranteed halal..

I would be uploading the pictures of her food (sometimes there would be added dishes prepared by locals) daily.. depends on whether there is and added dish.. so enjoy drooling! and don't forget to come and visit to taste the yummilicious authentic thai foods!!

There's couple of Iklan Raya that stuck to my head.. the 1st one is the one with all the children bought a cow just to make sure that the mother have every parts to cook for Raya dishes..

Makan - Makan || Mee Udang Mak Jah, Kuala Sepetang

One of the colleagues I went to work with craved Kuala Sepetang's Mee Udang.. So we drove all the way to Taiping from Ipoh just to fulfill that.. 

I gave them a tour and some history of Taiping all the way from Changkat Jering toll to Kuala Sepetang.. I even showed them my both my parents hometown.. yupp.. mak and abah's parents lived nearby..

They did order mee udang.. unlike me not feeling the mee udang vibe ordered the nasi goreng udang.. There were around 5-6 big prawns buried under the pile of a normal fried rice.. and accompanied with a sauce that is the mee udang gravy.. It was nothing special that can bring me back here, but if you were craving for prawns, and you happen to be in the area, do come here..

Price : from what I know it was worth it for all the prawn inside
Food : not that much to shout about just the big numbers of prawns and the size.. other than that it is not much different from any other shops.. 
Service : we were there during off peak.. so no problem in that area
Atmosphere : a normal by the roadside kampung style restaurant
Cleanliness : clean
Parking : theres a parking space nearby
