Makan - Makan || Aroma Ikan Bakar, Pantai Jeram, Kuala Selangor

Trip to Kuala Selangor ni is trip terkejut masa MIL came here.. Dude and his siblings nak bawak MIL jalan-jalan.. tapi too impromptu.. So plannyer asal jalan je..

Actually masa ni Dude & I plan nak lepak rumah je.. tapi kitorang terus shoot out to Kuala Selangor lepas Asar to meet the whole pack.. We were the first to arrive.. MIL with BIL and derang dapat book a room for the night.. kiotang yang lain dah takda room..

Plan asal untuk spend the night bertukar ke makan-makan di Jeram saja.. Where else? Aroma Ikan Bakar la.. Since kitorang awal, so kitorang la book tempat & order food.. Masa tu tak ramai orang lagi.. tapi table yang strategically located dah fully reserved.. yang ada yang dalam dewan yang panas.. tak kesahla.. asalkan dapat makan seafood..

Tak lama lepas tu, semua sampai tapi.. food tak sampai lagi.. ramai orang sangat.. Adam dah cranky sebab lapar.. Bila food sampai je, memang terus dia terkam tak tengok kiri-kanan dah..

First yang sampai ayam goreng kunyit Adam.. nothing to comment.. standard la ayam goreng kunyit.. tapi portion dia macam sikit je..

Next is sotong goreng sambal.. This dish have Dude's name all over it.. dia memang tak boleh makan takda sambal.. so this is especially for him.. I didn't quite like it sebab agak pedas to my liking.. Tapi tengok orang lain enjoy je.. okla kot..

Then came sayur kailan ikan masin.. biasa la kailan ikan masin.. what do you expect?

Ikan masak sweet sour came next.. Since I don't quite like fishes.. cannot comment here..

Butter Prawn.. overall nice tapi would have been extraordinary kalau prawn to lagi fresh.. tapi agak kering sikitla this dish.. macam makan udang goreng biasa je.. just ade tambah jaring-jaring telur tu..

Ok, this is my star dish for the nite.. pay attention ye.. MY Star Dish.. orang lain tak tau la..Ketam goreng salted egg.. walaupun agak dry tapi the taste hit spot on..Memang if we were to come again.. I would order this again.. YummS!

Malam tu semua balik dengan happy tummy.. Even MIL pon jugak.. Hope she enjoy the impromptu trip..

I Say

Price : normal price for a seafood restaurant.. I didn't know the exact amount because it was on my BIL

Food : tasty but some of the seafood is not fresh enough.. maybe because they took out the old stock to cover the demand for that day 

Service : can be improved especially when interacting with patrons

Atmosphere : it was crowded that time.. couldn't comment much

Cleanliness : fair

Parking : if early you'll get to park at the parking lot, if not park by the roadside at your own risk.

Ok..Seriously.. tak tau dah berapa kali makan kat sini.. tapi we made it a point order menu yang lain everytime kitorang datang.. Tapi Adam memang tak boleh nak buat geng.. nak makan yang sama je..

Kali ni order Pasta Aglio Olio.. Pasta ni a bit on a spicier side.. kalau tak tahan memang tak boleh tolong.. eheheh

And then kirang order pizza.. pepperoni pizza.. sedap! Sebab super thin crust.. and makan pon masa panas-panas..

 

Adam order both of these.. mac & cheese and mashed potato.. end up dia tak usik pon mashed potato tu.. dah muak dengan mac & cheese la tu

Finally kiotarang order chicken wings.. Sampai menjilat jari..

Kulcats never dissapoint.. Even now, we've introduced to a friend of us.. And every single time ajak makan kat Kulcats.. I guess the ambience pon sesuai untuk anak derang yang kecik-keci and suka merayau tu..

Short Trip to Penang

it seems like a must go place everytime we were in the northern part of the country.. yerp! Penang.. the food heaven! the must haves, nasi kandar from restoran yasmeen, tandoori and naan from restoran kapitan.. for me thats enough.. but still different people different taste.. there's stop to fulfill everybody's taste.. no worries..

So we stayed at Jen Hotel formerly known as Traders Hotel.. yup.. in the middle of the city.. not a good place for a foodie.. Since thats the only hotel available.. so we'll just make do..

The hotel is and old hotel that have been refurbished.. You still get this gloomy feelings but not that bad.. We manage to get a connecting room.. so we get to share everything.. Adam was all out with his lego and couldn't care less about the pool view we had..

We stayed there for a night just enough to get our doses of nasi kandar.. we had for snacks then dinner and a little bit of supper.. go figure how many calories just for a night..

The next day after breakfast outside, Dude bawak jalan-jalan Penang and we end up kat Padang Kota.. rupanya ada exhibition transformers.. patutla ramai orang.. Bergambar la anak-beranak dua orang tu di celah-celah orang.. asal boleh je..

Since masa tu exam DSV (Dunia Seni Visual) pon dah dekat so kira macam practice jugakla untuk exam..

Mula-mula suruh dia free hand je.. tak lepas la pulak.. 

End up mama kena buat letter pattern untuk die trace nanti..

 After almost 10 years of working.. I finally managed to treat the whole family for a nice dinner.. I let them decide on where to eat..

Unanimously, Cozy Corner in Ampang Park won the voting.. that is always the place chosen for any family dinner.. it became a tradition..

In the end the bill came up with a number.. It was money well spent.. a nice dinner with the whole family together with the nephew live from Sheffield..

Thanx family for making the dinner happen and making me the person I am today!!

3 Days 2 Nights Avillion Port Dickson

End of the year sampai dah pon.. masa untuk take a break and relax.. ehehhehe.. This time around kitorang pilih Avillion.. walaupon second time stay sini tapi this round kitorang stay garden villa.. last time water villa..

Sebab apa pilih garden villa? sebab saje nak try.. eheheheh..lagipon kali ni kitorang holiday dengan kawan Dude yang ada anak kecik.. takut jugak especially time nak mandi tu.. Lagipon the last time kitorang stay water villa tu a bit panas.. aircond dia lambat sangat sejuk and tak sejuk mana pon..

Kitorang sampai and check-in lebih kurang sama and dapat bilik pon selang satu blok.. tak jauh sangat and dapat bilik bawah.. kalau dapat atas... bahana jugak nak panjat naik tuh.. (I is malas naik tangga tinggi-tinggi).. Dah masuk bilik tu apa lagi? golek-golek and beauty sleep la kejap..

Beauty sleep yang suppose beberapa minit tiba-tiba bertukar menjadi sejam.. muahahahah..bila bangun and freshen-up semua dah almost nak gelap.. so kitorang decide pegi dinner sebab takut ramai orang dekat kedai seafood tu.. Mana lagi kalau bukan Seri Mesra.. itu akan diceritakan kemudian..

Malam tu semua orang early night in..  memang penat habis laahh..

Pagi-pagi esoknya.. para lelaki (yang 2 orang tu) pegi main tennis while wanita dan anak-anak sambung tido.. lepas je tennis tu bawak anak-anak mandi pool.. yang paling happy is anak kawan dude.. punyala seronok dia dapat mandi pool.. Adam pulak couldn't care less. dia bukan suka pon pool.. infact dia duduk kat tepi kolam main splash air jek..

 

Dapat la main dalam setengah jam.. balik bilik and bersiap untuk late brekafast.. or nicely called brunch.. kitorang pilih somewhere dekat pekan Port Dickson.. a Kopitiam called Kedai Kopi Pak Lang.. This will be reviewed later..

Since kitorang dah take brunch yang dah lambat sangat pon.. kitorang end up makan lunch teros.. memang heavy la.. so.. balik hotel tu lepak-lepak lagi.. tengok tv.. baring-baring.. memang holiday kali ni memang nak relax pon.. just enjoy the hotel.. kih kih kih..

Around pukul 3 Adam dah start berzikir nak makan.. We were like.. what??!! try pujuk dia ajak jalan-jalan area hotel.. while me and Adam walk around pool area.. ternampak signboard pasal roti canai making for kids.. hosted by avillion kids club..

Balik tu, Dude tengah bersiap.. he actually have to drive to Cyberjaya malam tu sebab ada company dinner.. boleh pulak dah siap booking hotel baru company announce about the dinner.. so, malam tu kitorang dinner with Dude's friend and his family je.. something simple.. sebab malas nak pikir.. Dinner dekat Kenny Roger's dekat town..

Balik tu kekenyangan.. Adam pon apa lagi.. sleepyla.. but I tak boleh tido sebab risau Dude driving sorang malam-malam.. tertedo yang kejap-kejap terjaga.. Bila nampak je dia masuk bilik baru lega.. and dapat tido.. tido yang memang tak sedar apa dah..eheheheheh

Breakfast the next day kat tempat baru jugak.. tempat yang terjumpa by chance.. tapi lengkapla ada nasi lemak and roti canai.. ini pon akan cover later..

Balik breakfast bawak budak-budak lepak kids club.. Adam as usual main blocks.. sampai nak ajak pegi petting zoo pon kene pujuk bersungguh-sungguh.. Nasib baik he end up ikut jugak.. Bila dah sampai petting zoo tu.. dia yang paling excited nak bagi makan rabbit.. Dah puas main dekat petting zoo, dah satu hal nak ajak dia balik.. sebab dah nak dekat dgn check out time..

This holiday memang memenuhi expectation untuk rehat.. sebab we didn't commit to anyting.. just rest and makan.. ahahahah.. sangat seronok holiday macam ni.. Maybe we should do this more often la Dude!
