Anne The Ant

A project for Adam's english class..he asked me to buy him a green manila card and write his name at the back..

When I get home from work, excitedly I asked what did he do with the manila card? He said his english teacher asked him to draw an ant face.. But he said since he don't know how to draw, he's expecting me to draw for him..

Well, this is me drawing for my boy's english to make an ant.. the name in anne.. so Anne the ant..How do you guys rate my drawing?

LEGO Building Event

Ternampak iklan pasal building contest ni in one of the sponsored advertisement kat facebook.. bila research further, macam best pulak sign kan Adam.. so without much thinking terus je isi borang online and wallah! Adam is one of the constestant..

Masalah sekarang is to pujuk Dude untuk pegi area Damansara pagi Ahad (his tennis session time).. untuk anak takpe berkorban kannn..

Seminggu sebelum tu dah crita kat Adam pasal LEGO.. mind you, Adam tak pernah tunjuk minat kat LEGO all this while.. Takut jugak..

Then the day came.. kitorang sampai lambat sikit.. orang dah start.. walaupon tak lambat sangat.. Adam memang taktau nak start macam mane.. lama die berdiri seblah LEGO box tu.. after sometimes.. (lepas tengok orang lain and Dude bersronok dengan LEGO, baru dia start) tapi dia just build high rise building.. dia just stack-up LEGO.. Dude lah yang build macam-macam jenis kenderaan untuk Adam.. 

Towards the end of the contest, Adam dah stop and start roaming through the shop tengok the lines and stacks of LEGO boxes yang tersusun cantik.. And dia dah start intro nak membeli.. Kitorang buat tak dengar je.. asking him to finished up his design..

Bila time's up, kitorang pon hantar one of the best creation from both Dude and Adam.. Adam chose 1 and teros hantar.. at the counter, ambik gambar the creation with the creator.. and dapat voucher as a gift.. and the result will be based one number of likes on the facebook..

Adam dapat jugak laa beli satu small box lego.. balik dengan tersenyum-senyum gembira..

p/s: he insisted on wearing Legoland tee sebab nak pegi main LEGO

p/p/s: tempat ni nama dia Mighty Utan.. go and like facebook dia.. and this place offers discount for LEGO's and some other brand..

Farewell

She's been my boss from my first day reporting to the department.. and I never knew other boss other than her.. and now she's no more here.. RETIRED..

We hosted an evening affair to celebrate her last day at the office.. We transformed the workplace to an intimate cafe like ambience.. To tell you the truth, we haven't been working for the whole day before the day of the event.. that makes 2 days of non-productive day at the office.. hehh..

The evening started with the arrival of guests from the whole department (everybody's invited.. it depend on them whether to come or not).. then the arrival of the one's celebrated.. she's shocked to see how we manage to transform the office.. and was touched.. that moment was priceless!!

Then our event starts with welcome speech by our representative.. and then she get too emotional and started to shed some tears.. and mine too!

The event continued with slideshow (made inhouse) collections of the boss's pictures during her entire service at the department.. this is another sad part.. but we added a special surprise for her towards the end of the slideshow.. the anchors of TV3 NONA wishes her a happy retirement.. ehehehe.. but she missed it the first round and requested for another round of the slideshow..

Then it was time for gifts and cakes.. we made her a photobook collection of her pictures during her 33 years of service.. another inhouse job..

 

 

After the gift giving, the guests were invited to enjoy the hi-tea spread..There were lots of food.. some ordered from the caterer, while some brought by colleagues.. There's fried mee, couple of kuihs, ubi kayu rebus with sambal and kelapa, laksa terengganu, fruits and loads more.. Everything was delicious..

The highlight of the event was when the boss checked-out for the last time.. it was a tearful event.. I cried! and I was sobbing like mad when I shake and hug her.. Eventhough we're not that close for me to cry that way, I couldn't deny that she made who I am today professionally.. Thank you Puan! You've thought me lots this whole 9 years..

Teachers Day 2014

I took quite some time to think of an idea on what to give for Adam's teacher.. Since this is his last year at the school before attending primary.. After so much thinking (and surfing the net) I finally decide to give his teachers a set of teabags.. get it TEA-cher?

Brought Adam along to shop for the teabags and couple of other stuff.. so he picked 4 tea flavours..

All items are especially hand made by moi.. Hope his teachers love them.. and remembers Adam when they have their cuppa..

I used to encouraged Adam to draw and colour.. tapi tak sangka he use the encouragement this way.. huk huk.. thanks Adam bagi mama work a little harder.. tapi macam sayang pulak nak padam his artwork..

MASM-Bank Rakyat Colouring Contest

I have been trying to make Adam to join colouring contest since last year.. but he seems not interested.. even at home when I try to get him to colour.. he would refused..

But this time around.. he was excited to join the contest.. so I registered him up.. this was actually during the Malaysian Environment Week Celebration.. but I brought him to the 1st day of the contest so that there will be fewer challengers (because the highlight of the celebration was the closing ceremony).. 

But what I can say about Adam.. is that.. I am very proud of him.. he just sit down even uncomfortably... and coloured as instructed.. but he's still poor in colouring inside the line and still need instructions to change the colours to use.. Need a lot of practice.. maybe should bring him to more colouring contest so hat he can see how people actually colour..

He didn't get any placing but.. the goodie bag has made Adam happy enough.. And he couldn't stop talking about his colouring contest experience the whole night!
