Adam take part dalam Sukaneka sekolah dia..tapi satu acara je la.. it seems 1 student participate 1 acara.. to be fair la kot kan..

Pagi tu siap macam biasa nak pergi sekolah.. ingatkan they start early.. tp lama jugak nak tunggu untuk acara Darjah 1.. sebab start dengan Pra Sekolah dulu.. Dahla padang tu penuh tapi seat tak cukup..

Kitorang hanya turun ke padang bila Darjah 1 turun padang.. memang takda tempat dudukla.. terpaksa berdiri.. ada certain parents duduk je atas court..

Acara Adam the last one untuk Darjah 1.. Tak banyak gambar sangat sebab the organizer tak bagi berdiri dekat tempat acara sebab block view VIP and parents yang duduk khemah..

Lagipun kitorang nak kejar time sebab kena rush to Zoo pulak after that.. Adam tak menang so tak payah tunggu untuk penyampaian hadiah.. Lepas dah dapat green light untuk bawak Adam balik.. kitorang pergi ambik foods untuk Adam and then vrooomm ke Zoo..

Kem Solat Siri 1 Sekolah Kebangsaan Setiawangsa

Adam came back from school with a letter saying that all Standard 1 student have to attend a Kem Solat event on Saturday.. He's very excited to join the camp that he already prepared on what to where.. and insisted on wearing a full baju melayu complete with sampin & songkok..

On Saturday, I sent him to school, but we were a bit late because he wanted to have breakfast first infront of his school.. And then he started to cry when he realised that he's late and refuses to join in his class lines..

I had to persude him.. like really really pujuk dengan janji manis.. then only he join in his class line.. After they moved to their assigned class, I left with a promise that I'll be there waiting for him when he's finished..

And yup.. I'm there on time to fetch him.. I can see that he's smiling from far while going down the stairs.. In the car, he just wouldnt stop talking sharing his experience with me.. He said he wanted to join another camp if there's any after this..

Anne The Ant

A project for Adam's english class..he asked me to buy him a green manila card and write his name at the back..

When I get home from work, excitedly I asked what did he do with the manila card? He said his english teacher asked him to draw an ant face.. But he said since he don't know how to draw, he's expecting me to draw for him..

Well, this is me drawing for my boy's english to make an ant.. the name in anne.. so Anne the ant..How do you guys rate my drawing?

Finally.. Dah Siap

Since Adam join the current school lambat, so kena order sendiri nametag.. Nasib baik jumpa yang dekat rumah.. LAma jugakla kena tunggu.. sebab ingat dia buat kat kedai tu.. rupanya dia hantar tempat lain.. so it takes quite some time.. Adam dah bising-bising kenapa baju dia takda nama lagi..

So.. Adam.. nah mama dah dapat.. tunggu mood mama nak jahit je ok?? keh!

New Day, New School

After couple of visits of going up and down Pejabat Pendidikan Wilayah Persekutuan and the school.. finally after a month of schooling at my alma mater, Adam change to the school closer to home.. easier to manage especially the picking up and sending to Sekolah Agama in the evening part..

It came by a surprise, Adam was totally shocked that he have to move school.. new environment.. new friends.. I hope he can adapt well.. even his current class teacher was not prepared to let him go.. ahahahah.. such a favourite student eh??

So this is him on his first day at the new school.. I didn't realised his hair were that long before.. We noticed in in this picture and plan to take him for a haircut after this..

But he love this school instantly because... he get to wear the school necktie whereas at the current school he's yet to receive his necktie even after a month!

We were asked to see the teacher that is incharge of Standard 1 students.. and she warn us about Adam's long hair.. she notice!! eheheh.. so 1st thing to do after school is haircut! 

She tested Adam reading skill just to set him to which class.. I thought of enrolling him for a chinese language class but all class are already full.. so arabic you go!

Adam's class is on the top floor.. third floor!! it took me quite some time to reach his class.. mind you it is a very long time ago when I used to take the stairs.. why put technologies to waste?? kehkeh..

His class teacher seems nice, a soft spoken lady.. she teaches Agama Islam.. she told us about all the fees needed and whatever additional item.. and she told us to bring all Adam's exercise book to put at the class.. the kids only have to bring their text books home.. everything is kept at class.. good initiative from the school.. they even have lockers to rent..

After settle everything at the school.. and Adam is safe;y learning at his class.. we left.. and come back again to pick him up at 1..

I was the one who told him to wait at the staircase and asked him to wait until I come.. and he said okay.. then the panic moment came.. I was waiting for him at the stairs but he is nowhere to be seen.. the very last Standard 1 student already came down the stairs.. 

 

But at the corner of my eyes I saw a familiar bag walking happily with his friends.. he was actually following his friend who is taking the transfer van to home.. I was shouting calling for his name like a mad lady.. and I was running.. almost cried.. suddenly he turned and smiled.. and he whispered something to his friends and walking towards me..

Such a relieved.. he said he just wanted to follow his friend.. I made him promise to not do that again.. just wait at the place that have been agreed earlier..

So there you go a drama to end his first day at a new school..

Kelip-Kelip Kampung Kuantan, Kuala Selangor

Actually dah out of idea nak bawak Adam pegi mana weekends.. asyik-asyik jalan shopping complex.. Pastu end up kene poww  LEGO.. LEGO skarang dahla mahal.. tak sah kalau tak RM80++

Tengah tengok TV tu Dude bagi suggestion.. kita pegi Kuala Selangor tengok kelip-kelip.. hmmm.. good idea jugak.. expose Adam to nature.. asyik indoors je..

Without any preparation or planning kitorang pon terjah je la ke Kampung Kuantan, Kuala Selangor.. misi : tengok kelip-kelip.. Nasib baik dulu penah kursus dekat area situ.. and dah penah pegi.. so ingat-ingat lupa la keadaan dia..

Satu masalah ialah nak makan.. malas nak makan seafood sebab macam takda mood ke arah situ.. so kitorang pusing-pusing area Kampung Kuantan tu adalah satu warung bukak.. makan situ je la.. order bende biasa je.. nasi putih.. ayam paprik.. Adam seperti biasa ayam goreng kunyit.. Rasa pon biasa je.. nothing special.. tapi okla for dinner..

Lepas maghrib dekat surau sebelah je kawasan kelip-kelip tu.. kitorang pon beratur la beli tiket.. satu sampan RM50 maksimum 4 orang.. Nak kata ramai tu tak ramai sangat.. tapi bila tour bas sampai jadi ramai laa.. ramai tourist dari Korea and middle east.. Tunggu tu tak lama sangat sebab sampan banyak..

Bila turn kitorang naik sampan, rezeki dapat pakcik ni yang super friendly.. dia banyak cerita.. katanya skarang ada lagi satu area dah bukak, tapi bukan sampan kayuhlah.. tapi pakai motor.. and boleh bawak lagi ramai orang dalam satu sampan tu.. kesian la jugak bila pakcik tu cerita.. memang impact besar kat pendayung-pendayung area tu sebab orang makin kurang datang.. Pakcik tu kata kelip-kelip pon dah kurang.. maybe sebab development area tu kot..

Tapi for me.. I prefer traditional way.. Adam pon nampak enjoy.. dia tak takut langsung.. gelap je laa.. mulut pokpek bila nampak lampu from kelip-kelip tu..

Apa-apa pon best experience and good exposure for Adam.. maybe orang lain pon boleh bawak family ke sana.. kita promote tempat menarik kat Malaysia.. boleh tambah lagi aktiviti yang boleh buat within KL area..

First few days in Standard 1

These are collection of Adam on the first week of school..

Uniform still tak lengkap.. waiting for his necktie..

1st Day as a Primary Schooler

Finally the day came.. Adam start darjah 1.. Macam tak boleh nak percaye yang Adam dah darjah 1.. apa-apa pon he's still my baby boy..

Pagi tu memang awal.. make sure dah Adam tido awal malam sebelum tu.. Sebab sekolah tu area traffic jam.. Nasib baik dia ikut timing yang dah kitorang set..

Sampai pagi tu, terus head towards dewan.. kat situ, semua student dah kumpul.. it seems that kena kumpul kat situ dulu baru masuk kelas.. Tapi since haritu hari Isnin, so ada assembly.. lama la sikit.. and penuh parents keliling hall tu..

Adam pulak segan-segan sebab dia tak kenal sorang pon classmates..tapi refuse to look our way.. macho la tu konon..

Lepas assembly, they reset balik kelas darjah 1 based on test masa orientation haritu.. Adam 1 class up.. Alhamdulillah..

Bila the kids dah masuk kelas, all the parents being adviced to trust the teachers and leave their kids.. because they are already in good hands.. so, Dude and I just tinggal je Adam and went for our breakfast.. and promise to come back during recess time..

Masa recess tu kitorang duduk celah-celah orang taknak bagi dia notice kitorang.. memang dia tak notice langsung sebab jalan terus je tak tengok kiri kanan dah dengan bekal kat tangan.. ikut his friends.. tapi bila depan counter baru dia sedar he's not supposed to be there.. bila nak pusing to turn back entah macamane ada budak tengah berlari and terlanggar dia.. Jatuh terlentang la my baby boy on the canteen floor.. berlari kitorang nak save kan dia.. Nasib baik takde apa-ape.. only he's broken ego.. kihkih..

Tapi the comment from others including cikgu buat mak dia nih panas.. "tula adik.. lain kali jangan lari.. jalan je.. laintai ni licin.. kan dah jatuh.." that does not help calming him down.. lagi menangis ada.. Bila dah cool down tu.. pujuk dia makan.. Sebab recess tak lama and kena kumpul balik kat dewan lepas bell ring..

Everything went well after that.. Masa nak pick-up tu, jenguk la Adam in his class.. Nampak ok je and can adapt well.. Bila bell ring untuk balik je, the kids beratur depan class and salam cikgu before leaving.. the school terapkan good ethics la kan..

Petang pulak masa untuk sekolah agama.. Adam seems ok with the arrangements.. tapi rushing sikitlaa.. sebab traffic jam and all..

Kesimpulannya.. a successful day 1.. kita tengokla nanti the days to come..

Adam Standard 1 Orientation Day

Still tak percaya Adam dah nak masuk darjah 1.. Rasa macam baby of the family lagi.. eheheheh.. baju sekolah semua dah siap awal.. taktau la how he will react bila sampai sekolah.. jangan menangis sudah.. macam experience hantar Brainy Bunch dulu..

Pagi tu siap awal.. sambil praktis untuk real school days nanti.. memang nak kena siap awal..since Jalan Gurney tu selalu jam..

First thing masa sampai terus register attendance.. still tak ramai orang.. even the teachers pon tak berapa ready.. lambat jugak nak tunggu orang lain.. buang masa je sampai awal.. sebab semua orang datang lambat je..

Sementara tunggu tu, bagi nasihat sikit kat Adam.. eheheh.. then cikgu round up the kids ikut kelas.. ada 4 kelas je darjah 1.. then they brought the kids to their classes for further orientation.. while parents semua dengar ceramah about the school and the systems..

Habis ceramah, collect buku teks.. dah siap buku teks.. pegi kelas anak untuk jumpa cikgu & isi segala borang yang ada.. but the kids duduk kelas lain sit for a test..

Tak lama lepas tu dia anounce boleh ambik anak kat dewan and orientation tamat..

Jumpa Adam and asked him about his day.. ada kawan tak and all that sort.. dia kata ada kawan.. bila tanya nama kawan tros angkat bahu cakap tak tau.. ahahahaha.. bila tanya suka tak school sini.. dia kate suka.. 

So.. successful orientation day i suppose..

Brainy Bunch International Montessori Annual Concert & Graduation, International Islamic University of Malaysia

Finally it was the end of the year.. and it's the final concert time.. Adam was all excited the moment he gets the poem that he needs to memorised and rehearse..it was the same words all over everyday.. but it was kinda cute..

this time around Wangsa Maju branch combined together with another branch.. so tak ramai sangat comparing to the year before.. and venue pon closer to home.. Dewan UIA Gombak.. tapi morning session.. memang kena bangun awal.. 

on that day.. nasib baik dah siap semua malam before that.. sebab.. kitorang terbangun lambat!! tapi takdala lambat sangat.. by the time sampai tu the hall still can be considered kosong lagi.. Nasb baik they prepared snacks for the parents sementara nak tunggu the concert to start.. the kids pon were given snacks for breakfast.. all taken care by the teachers..

 

Like the previous year, the kids all in white lining up for their intro performance.. national anthem, selawat, asmaul husna and reciting surah with their translation.. and like usual Adam is at the back of the group.. can't see him during the performance..

Then the concert starts with the usual welcoming speech.. and then performance by the playhouse with fashion show.. Then there's another performance by the other branch.. ouhh.. the theme for this year is occupation..

Then Adam's group turn to perform.. well.. they perform the poem fluently without any hesitation or hiccup.. such a beautiful sight..

then a couple of performance again.. and towards the end is the graduation ceremony.. here Adam have to wear the graduation robe.. all taken care by the teachers behind the stage.. I get to see him only when they line the graduating kids and brought them to the back of the hall for the marching in of the Graduates together with their teachers.. Adam is a bit conscious wearing all those robe and the hat because he refuse to look at me and smile..

 

 

 

After the marching in the Graduates are seated on the stage where the parents can see them.. then they call for the best student for each branch and they gave their speech.. which they memorised.. then they call one by one the graduates name to present their graduating certificate..there is also a picture of them in the file.. after giving their parents a chance of a snap or two, they asked to seat again.. then they invited a parent on stage for the kids to hand over their certificate for the parents to be proud of..
 

 

 

 

 
After a photo or two, the ceremony were over.. then they have to return the robe and the hat.. We didn't stay long because were too tired and hungry..after taking a picture or two we leave the hall..

 

outside the hall I saw there were a booth for taking a studio picture and another booth selling bouquet of flowers.. Just exactly like a real graduation ceremony.. but we didn't stop for both.. and thats the end of Adam school year at kindie.. after this he's joining the big kids at real school..

At this opportunity, I would like to convey my appreciation to all the teachers in Brainy Bunch Wangsa Maju Branch.. Adam was totally happy and enjoy all through his 2 years learning there.. Not a single complaint from him and not from us the parents too.. We were satisfied.. Thank you BBIM WM!!
