Sotong Goreng Tepung

One day Mr. AZ came home with squids.. he said he wanted sotong goreng tepung.. apparently our holiday to Kuantan doesn't satisfy his sotong goreng tepung cravings.. so here goes..

This is a campak-apa-yang ada recipe..

INGREDIENTS

Squid - clean and cut into ring pieces 
2 portion wheat flour
1 portion rice flour
salt

pepper
ice cold water 
cooking oil

INGREDIENTS

1.   mix wheat flour and rice flour
2.   add in the salt and pepper to the flour mix
3.   heat up the cooking oil. wait until the oil is heated
4.   add in the ice cold water bit by bit to the flour. Mix quickly
4.   dip the squid rings in the batter then into the oil
5.   wait until the squid turn into pale yellow and take them out of the oil
6.  drain the excess oil with a paper towel and serve with chilli sauce

Teachers Day

Adam's first teachers day.. Eventhough he went to play school last year.. but this year is the real school..I don't think he even now what Teacher's Day is.. bu I said to him to give "presents" to his aunties.. notice the word presents? that's the keyword to get his attention.. I gave all the teacher's because I really appreciate what they did to Adam.. He showed a lot of improvement from the first day I sent him to the school.. alhamdulillah.. a little appreciation won't hurt right?

I made the thank you card myself and asked Adam to write his name on the card

Do you guys remember what did you get for your teachers for Teacher's Day? I still remember when I was in kindie.. my mom had this garden full of blooming orchids.. early in the morning, she would gather up colourful orchids and made them into bouquets for my teachers.. when I went to school.. I mean when I get to appreciate that day.. I only gave my teachers pens.. Kilometrico pens to be exact.. all 3 colours! heeee.. and the gifts giving stop when I was in boarding school.. I guess money was the issue that time.. I prefer to spent my monthly allowances on me rather for other people.. hehehehe.. such a selfish girl I am..

p/s: at Adam's school, their teachers are known as aunties..

Another place for breakfast around my area.. Their food is full with flavour.. other than that you have  couple of booth other than this one if the taste doesn't suit you.. but I can't comment on the others cause I haven't taste them..

Food : They have varieties of Kelantanese dishes.. I love to have their nasi kerabu with chicken curry.. the nasi dagang is nice also.. There's a stall with a nice roti boom where you can queue up 

Service : Lots of place to seat.. and you can order drinks from any of the shop you seat..

Atmosphere : a normal warung at a medan selera 

Cleanliness : fair 

Parking : park in front of the warung but usually you have park by the roadside

Service : quite difficult to get attention to order the drinks.. and hard to get a seat if you come a bit later than 9 a.m.

Parking : park in front of the warung but usually you have to wait since the parking is also for the shops in front of the warung..

Food : I love the shawarma.. no other place could compare to this.. This is the only place I think of when I'm craving for shawarma.. but I can't comment on the other food in their menu.. Never tried before..

Service : I have my shawarma to go.. so not much to comment on the service 

Atmosphere : a middle eastern restaurant.. 

Cleanliness : clean  

Parking : park at the shopping complex basement parking

Just like the last General Election, I cast my vote in KL and Mr. AZ in his hometown.. But this time around he casted hi vote first then we came back to KL for my turn.. because we had a wedding to attend..

Everything went smoothly at my polling centre.. even MR. AZ's.. So now, let just wait for the result!

Makan - Makan || Cafe Jiran, Wangsa Maju

A friend recommend this place to me.. at first I was quite confuse when she said jiran.. i thought it is here neighbour.. and I reminded her, I didn't see any food joint nearby her home.. 

Not until one day that me and Mr. AZ stumbled upon this place.. Actually we've noticed this place before because of the occupancy.. The restaurant is always full.. And we kept on reminding ourselves to visit this place and give it a try..

Well, we sure are hooked to this place! Adam really love their mushroom soup and garlic bread.. he love the bread the most because it was cooked fresh and he can see the bread went out from the oven into the can and served to him..

Price : we paid RM 63+ for our meal.. should be affordable for a western food joint  
Food : I love the pizza.. everything else is nice too.. will go again to try other food.. 
Service : happy with the service eventhough they were full that night.. but maybe they should change the way they put their cutlery.. should have brought the set of cutlery to the table together with the food instead of putting in a rack  
Atmosphere : cafe like with soft music playing on the background 
Cleanliness : clean 
Parking : its quite difficult to find a parking space infront of the cafe but there is a huge parking space at the back of the cafe..

Bowling Night

Since he showed his interest on bowling.. he kept on reminding me and Mr. AZ to bring him to play bowling.. so we brought him to play bowling at a new place.. Plaza Flamingo.. the place was packed with families..

He's skill has improved.. now he would do the 'thing' with his leg for follow through after throwing the ball.. maybe we should encourage him more by bringing him to more bowling night or enroll him to a bowling class??
