Makan - Makan || Satay Sri Melaka, Lembah Keramat

Eversince we try this satay, we never look back.. this has been our go to place to have satay.. it's not much but enough for us..

Everything was up to par (our par).. the meat is big and moist.. the kuah kacang is full of flavour.. not only sweet but together with spicy that perfected it.. and it is not runny like water.. typing this makes me crave for it..

I would suggest to go on weekdays and in the earlier part of the night.. usually after Isya' would be the worst time.. they would always be full and sometimes you would be out of luck where they ran out of satay.. we experienced once when we tried to reorder another plate of satay and were informed that they ran out of it.. luckily we had the 1st plate.. so.. be early guys!

Price : RM0.80 a stick of satay.. they do charge for nasi impit..

Food : I love their satay both chicken and beef.. the meat is moist... the kuah kacang is full of flavour.. not too sweet but a little bit of spiciness 

Service : they were always full.. so you have to attract the waiter if you want to be served fast..

Atmosphere : a normal warung at a medan selera 

Cleanliness : fair 

Parking : park in front of the warung but usually you have park by the roadsid.. on weekends night you might have to park across the road at the shoplots..

Received an MMS from my father at the office.. it is a picture of Adam having lunch with my parents.. he always love mushroom soup and garlic bread.. according to my father he finished a bowl of soup and a plate of garlic bread.. that's my Adam!

Whenever I think of Ikan Bakar and air asam I would think of this shop.. they were always full especially during the lunch hour on working days.. sometimes the ikan bakar would run out.. what I love the most is the air asam.. the smell of the air asam sometimes would last couple of days.. yumm!!

Why did I call the shop Ikan Bakar Ribu-Ribu??

1. I don't know the actual name
2. usually the cashier would charge us in thousands.. except this thousands are in cents.. So our normal meal for 3 included 3 ikan bakar would cost around 2 ribu.. heeee..

Price : acceptable for the nice and varieties of food.. but don't be shocked when the cashier will charge you hundreds or thousands of ringgit.. he actually meant hundred or thousands of cents..
Food : variety of dish to chose from 
Service : service was fast! we were serve with our drinks a couple of minutes after we ordered
Atmosphere : there's sit for everyone
Cleanliness : clean 
Parking : parking is a bit of a problem.. eventhough there were parking at the medan selera.. but still sometimes you have to double park or even worst park by the main roadside

I guess it has become our monthly getaway during lunch hour.. we surely will come here whenever we had a bad case of trying at new places.. some sort of a rebound..

Price : as always.. worth the penny for the food they serve 

Food : I always love the food since its different from the normal office cafe food..

Service : smooth service eventhough they were full during lunch hour

Atmosphere : love the ambience    

Cleanliness : clean   

Parking : parking is not a problem.. lots of basement parking if you don't mind paying RM2.. if not park by the roadside at your own risk

Homework on School Holiday

Adam brought back couple of workbook on his last day of school and together with a note for the parents to assist the kids to finish up the work assigned for them..

I counted the pages that Adam have to do.. and it is 58 pages!! I suspected that actually the work have to be done at school.. but knowing my son - who the teacher reported during his 1st progress report needs a lot of practice in writing - he didn't do it..  and since the school have this concept of no homework.. he was not sent back with a homework.. 

Sekarang Mama bertukar jadi naga!! singa pon boleh jugak..

So.. I did this table just to monitor his homework progress.. and put it in front of him..

I guess this table give him some sort of encouragement to finish his homework.. he wanted to do more pages when he saw me striking off a couple of boxes..

Chicken Pox

Spotted couple of spots this morning.. and brought him straight to see the doctor.. and yes it is confirmed!

 Adam got it!

And I opted for the anti viral syrup as suggested by the doctor.. according to her the level of chicken pox attack differs.. some people get it the normal way.. some the pox would grow in the eyes in the mouth which in children case would be a torture for them..

And I noticed that Adam is no longer difficult with medicine.. and he no longer needs the syringe.. a medicine spoon would do.. and oh.. he's not being difficult or clingy.. I guess because he doesn't have the fever and not itchy (thanks to the itch syrup the doctor prescribed)..

Makan - Makan || Tappers Cafe, Shaftsbury Square

One of the lunch hour me and colleagues had the opportunity to try at another one of the cafe in Shaftsbury Square, Cyberjaya.. This time around our makan spot was chosen based on the review in Jalan-Jalan Cari Makan show.. Tappers was one of the cafe visited..

The cafe was full that time since it was lunch hour on a Friday..Luckily there were a place for us.. we requested for a bigger table which was also available that time but they said they were expecting a bigger group so we were seated at table for 4..

The manager (I guess) was the one entertaining us.. we were given the menu and was let to choose.. than he came for our order.. we asked about the specials.. so he suggested the Chicken Parmigiana.. he said it was featured in the JJCM show.. So we ordered one and another 3 dishes.. the menu came together with drinks.. The prices for lunch set was affordable..

We didn't have to wait long for our drinks to be served.. then came our food.. but they served it one at a time.. by the time all our food were served, our table was too full.. and at the same time the vacant table for 6 that we requested earlier was seated by 2 person and not one of the staff said anything.. hurrmmmm.. 

We were satisfied with the food presentation but sorry to say that the taste was not to out liking.. it could be much better.. We concluded that after this we won't believe the review by this particular tv show.. and we won't be visiting this cafe in the new future..

Tappers Hainanese Chicken Chop

Actually this colleague of mine was craving for another kind of chicken chop but this is the only chicken chop available so she opted for this.. not to her liking..

This was suppose to be the best.. but I didn't quite like the sauce.. something missing.. but all 4 of us agreed that the coleslaw and fries is good..

 the portion is big hence the price is a bit higher than the other 3.. the sauce is the same sauce as the roast chicken.. she also added chilli sauce..
